Upper Mustang Trekking is the exciting journey into the high Himalayan lands of Western Nepal which is popular for holding the ancient Buddhist kingdom of Lo. Previously included in the Restricted Area Trekking, it requires the special permit from department of immigration to enter Upper Mustang. Since Mustang is located in the rain shadow of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Mountains, it receives very little rainfall which makes Upper Mustang Trekking your number one choice in rainy season.
The trail for Upper Mustang Trekking passes through the vast expansion of dry lands where eroded sandstone columns are the common sight. Thousand years old monastery, the fortified wall, ancient cultures and traditions that are quite similar to the neighboring Tibetans, the four storey palace in Lo- Manthang, caves and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains are the major attractions of Upper Mustang Trek. The fascinating sensation of being surrounded by more than 35 mountains over 6000m height is yet another compelling factor to join the trek.
Our Agency is currently operating Upper Mustang Trekking as 17 days package. The journey begins as we head to Pokhara from where we will catch a flight to Jomsom. Our trekking experience initiates at Jomsom as we walk all the way to Kagbeni. We will proceed through the lands of Chele, Geling and Charang to arrive at the ultimate jewel of Upper Mustang- Lo Manthang. The return trip takes us through Drakmar, Ghiling and Kagbeni to lead us to Jomsom from where we will board a flight back to Pokhara. Later we will return back to Kathmandu.
So, join our popular Upper Mustang Trekking package and get acquainted with the whole different Nepal.

Upper Mustang Trekking (Lo Manthang Upper Mustang Nepal)
Similar to Upper Mustang (In term of restricted permit and mandatory trekking guides) there is another great alternative trekking trail. Just next to Thorong La Pass on northeast part there is another off the beaten trail called Larke Pass. Often know as Manaslu Circuit Trek it can be a great alternative for other famous trekking destination. However you can't go for Manaslu Trek Without Guide, so just hire a guide and go for adventure holidays on killer mountain, i.e. Mount Manaslu.
